Floodplain Management Activities Annual Report

Dear Elected Official/Floodplain Administrator:

Pennsylvania Act 166 of 1978, the Pennsylvania Floodplain Management Act, requires all flood-prone municipalities, with Federal Emergency Management Agency identified floodplain(s), to regulate development occurring in their floodplain areas. As of Oct. 1, 2018, these annual reports now are submitted to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.

All such municipalities are required to file an annual report detailing all development permits issued with your municipality. The filing of a completed report is necessary regardless of whether any permits were issued or not.

The annual reporting year covers the period from January 1 to December 31 of the filing period. In addition, a copy of any floodplain management ordinance(s), updates, or amendments enacted by your municipality duringd with the completed annual report.

The deadline for this submission is February 28.
